If you have a number of lifestyle and health related goals which you want to run concurrently alongside each other, then Coaching to Health's six step lifestyle package is definitely the program for you.
Step one - The lifestyle and Wellness Assessment
You will be offered a comprehensive assessment taking into account factors such as stress, work life balance, lifestyle goals, nutrition, physical strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, nutrition, physical activity. This assessment will include a medical questionnaire and wellness screen to include height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and exercise readiness screen. At the end of this 90 minute session you will receive feedback on the findings and start to build an initial lifestyle program which you will take with you to step 2.
Step two - The Life Plan
This one hour session will help you to put things into order. Working with an experienced Lifestyle and Development Coach, you will be able to start defining goals and making plans. This could be lifestyle or health related and the content is led by you. This makes the program more powerful as often we have many goals and aspirations but do not have the motivation to persue more than one goal at a time. The session will examine things which sometimes hold us back, goals which conflict with each other, tmanagement of time and staging goals over a period of time. An example of where this approach leads to a greater chance of success could be where your work or home life timetable interferes with your eating, exercise and energy levels. We will work with you using coaching strategies to achieve a life balance and a future action plan.
Step three - The Activity and Nutrition Plan
Now that you have a plan for balance, it is time to work on your activity and your nutritional intake. Taking the information and results from your assessment in step one and building on from your lifestyle plan in step 2, we help you to work on an activity and eating plan based on your preferences and your lifestyle. This can be done on a number of ways. You may want to take exercise at home or build exercise into your daily routine. You may like to go to a gym or fitness centre, or you may want to take exercise outside like running or jogging. We will work with you where you feel most comfortable and come with you.
While you are putting together the plan, we will help you develop good exercise techniques, advise on the best ways of taking differing types of exercise and show you how to protect yourself from injury through the use of warming up and cooling down.
Building on the nutritional assessment from step one, we will help you to put together an easy and realistic eating plan so that you can achieve weight related goals such as losing weight, becoming slimmer or building muscle for better movement and shape.
Step Four - The Life Coaching and motivation session
By now, you will be well on your way to some very positive and powerful changes in your life. The life coaching review will take you to the next step. Building on all of the previous 4 steps, we look at the next goals in your life.
You may find that once you start on your plan, motivation is the key to maintining the momentum. We realiwe that it is not always easy to make changes, ever when they are positive, so we have built a motivation session into the program. In this session, we look at the new plan with you, evaluate how effective you are finding the program, make the necessary adjustments for you and help you with your motivation.
Step Five - The Nutrition and Activity Session
By now you will be enjoying the increased activity, strength, flexibility and energy that you have. You will probably have lost some weight, increased in body tone and find that activity is now much easier for you. You will be enjoying eating more nutritious food and will have a greater feeling of vitality.
In this session, you will gain the support of a personal trainer to help you to build on the plans and routine that you formulated in step three. You may well by now find that the original plan is less challenging for you and that you need to adjust the plan, learn now techniques, or just get to know that you are doing everything right and not getting into bad habits. The personal trainer will go where you want to go, so if it's aerobic exercise in your home, jogging around the park, or a session at the gym, you will have the full support or a trainer who is there to give you the knowledge and encouragement that you need.
Step six - The Lifestyle and wellness evaluation
As in step one, we will evaluate with you how effective the program has been for you. Looking at total wellness, we will again work with you to look at areas such as weight loss, cardiovascular efficiency, flexibility, stress levels, Body Mass Index (BMI), strength, energy levels, nutritions, motivation, work life balance and help you to put it all together for the future.
Once we have evaluated how you are progressing with your plan, we will work with you on looking at the future and how you are going to maintain and build on the things that you have learned from the program.
We will provide you with a toolkit to take away so that you can have ready reference to the new information that we have helped you to learn to keep it all fresh in your mind.
Support in the future
To help you to keep on track with your goals, we provide you with access to our online tools to empower you to keep the program going after your sessions have come to a close.
Although this is the end of the six step program, that doesn't mean that you cannot come back for additional sessions if you find that you need a 'booster' in any area of your life. All you need to do is call us to speak to us about what you need and we will schedule a one off session or a new series of sessions to keep you on track.
